STRATONİKEİA ANTİK KENTİ'NİN GİZEMLERİ NELER?
Diğer iki bölümde Stratonikeia Antik Kenti'nin girişinden itibaren Menteşe Beyliği, Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet Dönemi Köy Meydanı gezildi. Şimdi bu videoda kentin Klasik, Hellenistik, Roma, Bizans dönemleri gibi yerleşkelerin devam ettiğini göreceksiniz. Yani kentin bu kısmında diğer dönemleri birlikte görebiliyorsunuz. Köy meydanının hemen bitiminde, iki ayağınızı koyduğunuzda iki ayağınız arasındaki tarih farkı 2200 yıl var ve bu dönemler bir arada korunuyor. Bir ayağınızı bastığınız yer Geç Osmanlı/Erken Cumhuriyet dönemi, diğer ayağınızı bastığınız yer Hellenistik dönemdir. İkisi de Stratonikeia Antik Kenti’nde kesintisiz korunuyor. Kente baktığımızda Caddeler, Kütüphane, çeşme yapıları, 92 kişinin aynı anda kullanabildiği Latina (Antik dönemin umumi tuvaleti), Roma Hamamı, Palestra kısmı ve soğuk su havuzu var. Hatta burada soğuk su havuzunun restorasyonu tamamlandı ve yaklaşık 1900 yıl öncesinde olduğu gibi şimdi Roma Hamamı'na su akıtılabiliyor. Stratonikeia Antik Kenti’ne geldiklerinde bir elin beş parmakları gibi bütün dönemleri bir arada görüyoruz. İnsanlar buraya geldiklerinde 3500 yıllık tarihi dönemlerinden hangi dönemin eserini görmek istiyorlarsa onları görüyorlar. Yani Kentte Tunç, Arkaik, Klasik, Hellenistik, Roma, Bizans, Menteşe Beyliği, Osmanlı Dönemi, Cumhuriyet dönemi eserlerini ve hatta günümüz insanlarını da burada görebilirsiniz. Bütün geçiş dönemleri bir arada, hiçbir kopukluk yok ve hala günümüzde devam eden yaşam var. Stratonikeia Antik Kenti’nde biraz sessiz olup, tarihin derinliklerini dinleseniz, III. Hattuşili IV. Tuthaliya’nın askerlerinin buraya geldiğindeki onların sohbetlerini dinleyebilirsiniz. Bu topraklarda hepsi var. Yine Kanuni Sultan Süleyman’ın buradan geçişini, onun Rodos’a gidişini ve sonra dönüşünün ayak izlerinin o seslerini burada duyabilirsiniz. Cumhuriyet’in ilanını, Cumhuriyet’in 10. Yılında dikilen Cumhuriyet Meydanı taşını, köy meydanındaki o festivalleri şenlikleri duyabilirsiniz. Muhsin Saygın’ı, Mehmet Eskişar’ı vs. gibi hepsinin seslerini burada duyma şansınız var. In the other two parts, we visited the Menteşe Beylik, Ottoman, and Republican Era Village Square starting from the entrance of the Ancient City of Stratonikeia. Now, in this video, you will see the continuation of settlements from periods such as Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine. This means you can see the different periods together in this part of the city. Right at the end of the village square, when you place your two feet down, the historical difference between your feet is 2200 years, and these periods are preserved together. The spot where you step with one foot is the Late Ottoman/Early Republican period; the spot where you step with the other foot is the Hellenistic period. Both are preserved continuously in the Ancient City of Stratonikeia. When we look at the city, there are Streets, a Library, fountain structures, the Latina (the public toilet of the ancient period) which 92 people could use at the same time, the Roman Bath, the Palaestra section, and a cold water pool. In fact, the restoration of the cold water pool has been completed here, and water can now be channelled to the Roman Bath, just as it was approximately 1900 years ago. When people come to the Ancient City of Stratonikeia, they see all the periods together, like the five fingers of a hand. When people come here, they see the artifacts from whichever of the 3500 years of historical periods they wish to see. This means you can see the works of the Bronze, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Menteşe Beylik, Ottoman, and Republican periods, and even today's people in the city. All the transition periods are together, there is no break, and life is still continuing here even today. If you become a little silent in the Ancient City of Stratonikeia and listen to the depths of history, you might hear the conversations of the soldiers of Hattusili III and Tuthaliya IV when they arrived here. They are all here in these lands. You can also hear the sounds of Suleiman the Magnificent's footsteps during his passage through here, his journey to Rhodes, and his return. You can hear the proclamation of the Republic, the stone monument erected on the 10th Anniversary of the Republic in the Republic Square, and the festivals and celebrations in the village square. You have the chance to hear the voices of Muhsin Saygın, Mehmet Eskişar, and others. That is to say, all of that spiritual accumulation coming from the ancient period to the present day lives here and will continue to live.
